Job Description
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Genrobotics, you will be involved in designing a functional product that meets all technical requirements of the product which were set in the target setting event of the new product development process as well as to meet aesthetic& craftsmanship requirements provided by product designers. Genrobotics is seeking a Mechanical design engineer to help enable autonomous robotics applications and enhance human-robot interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform load calculations to determine sizing of actuators, transmissions, and bearing elements etc.
- Design innovative mechanisms and transmissions for power transfer through moving joints.
- Integrate actuators, sensors, and electronics including wiring into a space-efficient package that is also conducive for assembly and serviceability.
- Apply analytical methods including calculations and simulations for the design and optimization of structures and mechanical components.
- Conduct tolerance analysis to determine the system impacts of assembly fits and backlash.
- Fabricate prototypes, iterate rapidly, and advance concepts through to volume production.
- Manage suppliers to execute projects according to the design specifications and timeline commitments.
- Develop specifications and accelerated test plans to validate the product for its determined lifetime.
- Design fixtures and equipment for testing and calibration in prototype and production environments.
- Perform rigid body dynamic analysis for special-purpose robots using appropriate software tools.
- Responsible to study failure modes and mitigating them using DFMEA, mitigating technical risks using standard Risk analysis techniques.
- Responsible to coordinate with all departments like Quality, Assembly, Safety,
- Usability, Reliability, Test Lab, maintenance team, process planners, production team to launch the working product successfully in the market on time, on cost & on quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
- B-Tech/M-Tech/Ph.D. mechanical engineering or equivalent, good to have Master in
machine design, Robotic design
